Due to the misfortuneate circumstances of her birth Zooey has had a difficult time fitting, especially as the daughter of one of the leaders of Blackcaster. When she came of age she ran away from home in an attempt to lessen the shame of her family and was immediately taken captive by the Children of Ki'ral who proclaimed her to be a princess under their dark lord.

Zooey rescued herself, with Khamael's help, after accepting a warlock pact. She travels with the first campaign's party now, helping them and searching for her patron, a mysterious and tortured figure who appears to her in dreams.
